If you would like to use a Midi Controller with Audio Design Desk, first open the Preferences (⌘,) and click the “Hardware and Midi” tab. Then select which controller you would like to use and click “Save”
Now that your controller is selected, you need to assign triggers and functions to it. Go to the Menu bar and select “ADD > Midi Input Mapping”
You will get a list of possible triggers and functions to map.
Click “Learn” at the bottom left of the window to toggle “Learn Mode”. If on, the “Learn” button will be highlighted blue. Now select a trigger or function and press a button, pad, or key on your controller. Now click “Save” and that trigger or function is now assigned to that button, pad, or key.
